Enfield Town 0 Concord Rangers 1
Essex Senior League
Concord Rangers completed the double over Enfield Town on a night best forgotten.
Indeed, it was only Rangers' misfortune to hit the post twice in a minute that kept the
ET's within sight of their visitors. Town failed to convert two excellent
chances in second-half injury time, but any points from this game would have been
fortunate. Att 308

Enfield Town 2 Eton Manor 1
Essex Senior League
Enfield Town returned to winning ways after encountering another keeper playing out of
his skin to keep his side in the game. Ryce Tom was undone by a controversial penalty decision
but it later emerged that Town player John Ridout had been pushed to the ground to earn
the penalty. Stuart Snowden converted and Town hung on for the three points.

Club comment
Chairman David Bryant writes:
At last nights board meeting it was agreed to write to the League giving a report of the events at
Leyton and to request that the game in the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy go ahead. We believe
the restrictions placed on our supporters at Leyton were totally unreasonable and that our
supporters showed great restraint in the circumstances and were a credit to the club.
We have made our concerns clear to the league and it is now for them to decide if any action
is necessary.
We strongly believe the forthcoming game with Leyton should go ahead and to compliment our
existing stewarding arrangements we have made provisional arrangements for a small police
presence. However we do not anticipate any problems and our visitors will be given the
hospitality we try to provide to all our opponents.

Leyton pre-match comment
Enfield Town face Leyton for the second time this season tomorrow afternoon, the first of course being our
memorable first home league fixture in the Essex Senior League. Since that meeting in September, both
outfits have emerged as strong contenders for the Essex Senior
League title and, with two points seperating the sides, Enfield Town will be looking to hold
their nerve and come back from Leyton with at least a point, a good performance and their poll
position intact.

Netherne Village 1 Enfield Town 2
Cherry Red Books Trophy R2
Enfield Town won the hard way, with second half goals from Alleyne and a generous opponent
wiping out an early strike from the hosts. Their reward is a visit to White Notley in the
third round next month. See this page for newly announced cup fixtures and dates.

Nostalgia day out to Netherne
Enfield Town head south this weekend for their Cherry Red Books Trophy encounter with
Netherne Village. The game kicks off at 1.30pm and travel details can be found on the Bravenet
message board. Whilst manager Jim Chandler will be hoping for a win and a third defensive
clean sheet, Enfield Town supporters are expecting to make the match a fifties football
nostalgia day out. Quite what will happen tomorrow is anyone's guess, but dig out grandad's
football rattle, get him to teach you one of his quaint old terrace chants and come join the fun!
6th November 2001
Harefield United 0 Enfield Town 2
Middlesex Senior Cup R1
Goals from Jamie Morris, direct from a corner after 36 minutes and Nicky Morgan
sealed a fine away win in the Middlesex Senior Cup against South Midlands Minerva League

against Potters Bar Town or Wealdstone or Hanwell Town in the quarter-final.
